Summary

Duties include mechanical machinery design, including new machines and modifications of existing designs, using 3D design software such as Inventor, as well as Vault software. Design, detailing and checking is required. Part and BOM creation within the ERP system is required. Drawing packages are released to the Job Coordinator. Designers are expected to collaborate with production supervisors for optimum design, in consideration of cost of manufacturing, and ease of build. They are expected to follow the designs through production, correcting non-conformances.

Essential Functions

· Collaborate with Sales to ensure understanding of requirements and specifications.

· Use of Fundamental Principles of Engineering and Engineering Methods. Prepare calculations prior to drawing.

· Collaborate with Electrical Engineering on motor load requirements, as well as other electrical devices to be incorporated into machine design.

· Collaborate with Production supervisors and Divisional Lead Design, on best possible designs for ease of manufacturing and to minimize costs, while maintaining design integrity to meet requirements.

· CAD design including 3D concept designs and detailing, existing machine design modifications, and possibly 2D cad designs. Assembly Drawing creation, including ballooning.

· Follow Engineering and company procedures and standards.

· Collaborate with and obtain quotes from Suppliers on part selection for best lead time and cost factors and ensure technical suitability.

· Part and BOM creation within ERP system.

· Drawing updates and corrections(Non-conformance)

Competencies

· BS in Mechanical Engineering with at least 2 years of experience, or Associates Degree in Mechanical Design with at least 6 years of machine design experience

· Inventor or Solidworks experience of minimum 1 year

· Complete understanding of Engineering Fundamentals.

· Strong math and computer skills

Summary

The position is responsible for connecting machine electrical devices, such as motors, sensors, etc. Wiring also includes terminating wires in control panels to the terminal strips according to wire numbers, as shown on the drawings. Their duties may also include installing raceways such as wireway, ladder tray, and other raceways to hold the cables.

Summary

The position is responsible for wiring electrical systems on machine, terminating panel for blueprint. Their duties include communicating with clients to establish job details, reviewing electrical blueprints to identify wiring circuits and coordinating with team members to install items at Glassline Corporation. Upgrading machines with old control systems up to the new machine specifications and calibrating machine at Glassline or customer facilities. Therefore the individual is expected to have a professional demeanor and good communication skills for Customer interaction. The position requires approx.. 20-30% travel, of typically short durations of 1 day to 1-2 weeks.

Summary

The position requires, depending on the individual’s capability, operation of various machines for the production of Glassline). Entry level may include housekeeping duties, grinding, and loading/unloading of machine tools. More complex jobs may include operation of lathes, EDM’s, etc.

Summary

The essential function of the job is to build control panels. This entails some use of hand tools, for example, drilling and tapping to mount devices to back panels, cutting sheet metal, and using wiring tools, among others. He/She must be able to read and understand wiring diagrams. Common sense and attention to detail is required, as well as following standard procedures and practices of the InteliCon panel shop, as well as Policies of the company. Some forklift training may be required.
